What makes A Child's World different?

Brain Based Teaching Methods

The latest studies of the brain are giving educators tremendous insight into how we can create optimal learning environments for our children.  Studies now show that areas of the brain are stimulated and developed with specific activities, different environmental stimuli, the effect our emotions have on our mind and body, the importance of the arts in learning and the benefit physical activity has in energizing the body and the mind while increasing intellectual potential

Unique 4 B.E.L.S. Curriculum

The 4 Brain Essential Learning Steps of the Living Education Series© is a consistent thematic approach to teach children curricular content retained through interpretation and application.  The 4 B.E.L.S. can be used with any topic, theme or learning unit.  This formula is based on the latest proven brain research.  Teachers are equipped to create an intellectually stimulating environment that engages children in the learning process.  The curriculum develops divergent thinking skills in a consistent and  continual program.  The 4 B.E.L.S. are specifically designed to integrate   basic skills of Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies into an environment enhanced with music, art and physical activity.  Our international teachers for foreign language integration and all teachers are trained to integrate sign language into classroom activities.  Additional enrichment activities include “Tactile Art” classes for all age levels and music and movement programming.

All ACW schools are designed with age appropriate grouped classrooms and three dedicated learning centers; a Nature/Science center with animal observation tanks, Indoor Gross Motor area and   Language Arts Library centers.  Children are exploring throughout the school every day.
